Hebrews 9:13-14
13For if [the mere] sprinkling of unholy and defiled persons with blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a burnt heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body,
14How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?
I thank Go for this great sacrifice, that not only purifies the Body, but also purifies our consciences from the dead or fleshly works of our hands and makes us serve the living God. This is not of our own, but only by the death of the lamb we will be able to serve the King of kings not with dead works but with life, the life of Christ.
Hebrews 9:15-17How great is God, because of His love for us, He had to nullify the first law which He had made, to give way to a great law coming out of His great love for us. But for this He chose to humble Himself and come in the form of a mere man (His creation), as flesh. The one how was Spirit, now is flesh also. And this flesh was hurt, scorned, abused, spat on, beaten, chastised, mocked, betrayed and crucified for the redemptions of all flesh; that we might be spirit.
15[Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance--since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.
16For where there is a [last] will and testament involved, the death of the one who made it must be established,
17For a will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death, since it has no force or legal power as long as the one who made it is alive.
Hebrews 9:22What if Christ had not died for us? What a lifeless life we would live? With dead works, hypocrisy. Above all life with all its guilt and the fear of death.
22[In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins.
Now since Christ has died we have peace and joy which He had promised to us, through His suffering. Yes, it is that very peace, that enables us to walk through a mob of ten thousands who against you unharmed. Just because we are the sons of God. Yes, God himself enables us to walk. Even more it is that joy to rejoice and dance when someone abuses you or when we are going through suffering, cause it is not we who is able to go through this situation by by God alone for we are His children. Yes, we are indeed His children, through Christ. Thank God for dying for me. Thank You.
